# APTree Watering System Overview

The APTree NFT represents a living, evolving digital tree that grows based on user activity in the Aptos DeFi ecosystem. Users earn Water Points through interactions with DeFi protocols. These points are used to water their trees, allowing progression through 7 distinct stages.

| Seed           | Airdropped (non-tradeable), must be planted                      | —                 | Cannot die                    |
| Planted (Dirt) | Created after planting a Seed via Aptree website or Petra wallet | 15 days           | Dies if not watered in 7 days |
| Sprout         | Grows after 10 days of watering Planted Dirt                     | 20 days           | Dies if not watered in 7 days |
| Sapling        | Grows after 15 more days of watering the Sprout                  | 30 days           | Dies if not watered in 7 days |
| Young Tree     | Grows after 30 days of watering the Sapling                      | 60 days           | Dies if not watered in 7 days |
| Mature Tree    | Cannot die, but still requires watering to evolve                | 180 days          | Dies if not watered in 7 days |
| Mythic Tree    | Final prestige evolution — reward multiplier applies             |                   | Dies if not watered in 7 days |

Water Points are awarded for specific activities on Aptos DeFi platforms:
